Shrill (10/1 to 9/1 on-course) made a winning debut in the opener at Cork, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, as she ran out a good winner under Billy Lee for Willie McCreery.
Wearing the second colours of Godolphin the daughter of Shamardal raced in second before hitting the front a furlong from home.
She was ridden out inside the final furlong and kept on well to score by two lengths.
Planchart (25/1) kept on nicely to take second under Colin Keane for Andy Slattery while Foxen (33/1) was a further three parts of a length back in third under Gary Carroll for Eddie Lynam. Gift Wrap (in the first colours of Godolphin) was sent off the 4/5 favourite and she finished a very disappointing seventh under Shane Foley for Mick Halford.
Willie McCreery said afterwards: "She's a nice little filly. She likes that ground and barely bends the knee. She may go for the five-furlong Listed race (July 11th) at Tipperary.
"She's still immature but in the last month has blossomed a good bit. She was very professional as she was in the stalls for a long time which isn't easy on their first run." Zebgrey was withdrawn at the start as she refused to load. A Rule 4 applies to all bets, with a deduction of 10 cent in the euro.
