Shay scoots home at Galway
Tornedo Shay an impressive winner of his debut before keeping good company twice since, showed his true colours when slamming the opposition by eight lengths in the concluding Paul McNamee Memorial Flat Race under Roger Quinlan.
Quinlan, in the familiar O'Shea silks, led entering the straight on the Dr Fong chestnut and he rode him clear from over a furlong out to beat favourite, Long Strand by an easy eight lengths.
Successful trainer, Thomond O'Meara said: "We always liked him. He scoped sick after Punchestown where we thought he'd be placed. He developed well over the summer and now we'll try and find a maiden hurdle for him."
