Russell wins aboard Stonemaster

Davy Russell was continuing his good run after he came home in front of the Meteor Mobile Novice Hurdle aboard the Dessie Hughes trained Stonemaster

Russell settled the Gigginstown owned gelding in behind the leaders and made progress to lead at the second last.

The pair stayed on well to post a two and a half length win over Kusadasi and Sean Flanagan

Winning jockey Russell said afterwards: "He's a progressive horse who would appreciate the better ground, his strong point is his jumping."
