Russell gets tune out of Rattler
Jockey Davy Russell moved into second in the Jockeys' Championship, behind leader David Casey, with an 11th win of the season on Cylinder Rattler in the Nick O'Donnell Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Wexford today.
Russell was seen at his patient best on the son of Beauchamp King, racing in mid-division before progressing to lead at the second last flight, staying on well for a five and a half lengths win over Loughwell Star
Winning trainer Philip Rothwell, on duty at Bellewstown, was not present for the win.
