The field split into two groups in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden and the 13/8 favourite Rosie Bassett was prominent from an early stage in the bigger stands’ side contingent.

Shane Foley bagged the rail by half way and she kept on well to beat Shelly Banks (16/1) by a length and a half. Grigadale (20/1) was a further four lengths away in third while those on the far side all finished some way adrift.

The winner had run second on debut over a furlong further here last month.

Winning trainer Jessica Harrington said: “She's quick! She's fairly mad and Shane (Foley) said she still doesn't even really know what she's doing at the moment.

“She actually missed the kick and he sat on her but she just goes. She won by a length-and-a-half and the front two were four lengths clear.

“Shane thinks she might be better on better ground. I don't know where we go from here as there isn't much left for her, which is a pity because she's doing that well.

“Most of her owners work in London and it's great because she's the first horse they've had.”
