Rose defies top weight

Ashton Rose overcame top weight to win the Follow Dundalk on Facebook Handicap at Dundalk this evening, scoring for trainer Tracey Collins and jockey Danny Benson.

Afterwards Collins stated “Ashton Rose loves Dundalk and will definitely come back here again – she kept pulling it out tonight. Ronan Whelan would have ridden her but was suspended - Danny stepped in though and gave her a great ride.”

Collins added “our horsebox broke down coming and we only got here by the skin of our teeth! Thankfully Jim Gorman (neighbouring trainer) helped us out and we are very grateful to him.”
