Ballydoyle colt Romanesque stuck on well in the closing stages to make a winning debut in the Anglo Printers Maiden at Bellewstown.
Donnacha O'Brien pressed leader and market rival Easy Pass (evens favourite) throughout, in the mile-and-a-half contest, and sent his mount into the lead with two furlongs to run.
The long-time leader battled back to dispute again inside the final furlong but Montjeu colt Romanesque found more in the closing stages for a two-length success at odds of 5/4.
Donnacha O'Brien said afterwards:- "He's a good genuine horse. He's done plenty of work but normally they are green at the Curragh first time out never mind here. He did well to win."
