Rolling Revenge (18/1) hit the front before the tricky second-last in the Tickincor Handicap Chase, a fence which claimed Ciankyle in a closing third place.

The 11-year-old Beneficial gelding ran on well under 7lb claiming amateur Cathal McCormack to beat Alice Johnston (4/1) by six and a half lengths. Athloman Cottage (28/1 ) was third with the 5/2 favourite Jack Holiday in sixth place.

Twice a winner over hurdles for Martin Brassil in 2017, Rolling Revenge returned to racing ‘under Rules” this summer after a spell point-to-pointing and had run well when third at Tramore last month.

Winning trainer Thomas Coyle said: "I got him off Martin Brassil to teach Cathal (McCormack) in Open Lightweight point to points but it happens he doesn't stay three miles and we asked Martin to see could we run him in handicap chases and they obliged.

"Cathal is a cousin of mine; I worked for Eddie Cawley for 20 years and Cathal, who is 19, came in the past five years with me and that's his second winner. He is good to ride and is half-thinking about going conditional as he is finding it hard to pick up rides in point to points.

"The horse did it well, he had a great run the last day and ground is key for him; we'll keep him in for a few weeks but if it goes soft we'll let him off.

"That's my third winner on the track, I have 14 horses at the minute and they are mixed between the track and point-to-points."
