Right manages tough Job

They got racing from quite a way out in the four runner Buy Your 2015 Annual Membership Beginners Chase and that was always likely to play to tough stayer The Job Is Right s strengths at Punchestown. In the hands of Mark Enright the grey beat fellow grey As De Ferbet in the three mile one furlong contest.
This was a commendable effort on the part of The Job Is Right, coming as it did four days after his fine effort in the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown where he filled the fourth spot behind Living Next Door. He was also conceding no less than 13Ibs to the odds-on As De Ferbet here.
That one looked like he had The Job Is Right's measure in the straight but Michael Hourigan's victor flew the last and soon got the upper hand, coming out on top by a length and a half. Up For The Match no doubt pleased connections on his return after a long absence, coming home eleven lengths off them in third, whilst As De Ferbet's stable companion at the Willie Mullins yard, The Bosses Cousin dropped forty three lengths off them in last.
"He jumped well and he likes to be up with the pace. When he woke him up he was very good at the last," said Hourigan.
"It was a hard decision whether to run him or not, so close after the Paddy Power. He lost no weight there though and he was very fresh the morning after.
"When I saw there was only a few declared I decided to let him take his chance.
"The four mile race at Cheltenham is in my head as he wants every yard of three miles plus. I think there's a big day in him some day." (AM & EM)
