The 57-rated reserve Ishigati (9/1) took her chance when getting in from her position as a reserve for the Dundalk Stadium Business Club 2018 Fillies Maiden.
Owned by Joe Higgins, and bred by him as well at his Gerrardstown House Stud in County Meath, on this occasion Ishigati was ridden by Declan McDonogh.
For trainer Dermot Weld the Dream Ahead filly got the job done at the eighth time of asking, beating Stranagone and the gambled-on Pampushka by two and three parts of a length and a length and three quarters.
"The pace was on and I knew that Tracey Collins' horse (Stranagone) would go a good one and I got to the fence from (stall) 13 which was a nice achievement after 100 yards!" reported McDonogh.
"She's genuine and she has been competitive all year in handicaps. The track was a worry, whether she would handle the surface, but she did and got away with it. She's a very genuine filly and I would think if she stays in training for next year she might win a handicap.
"She couldn't do any more than win tonight and it is grand to get a bracket with her. That's most important."
K.J. Leonard, rider of Iseebreeze trained by R. K. Watson, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung left in the straight.
