After taking the first divide on Jack Slade Jonathan Moore completed a Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle double, winning the second split on third reserve Sir Jack Yeats

It was a fifth winner of the week for Moore, who already recorded a brace at Worcester on Wednesday, before adding another success at Newton Abbot yesterday.

The Co Wexford pilot teamed-up with Ellmarie Holden here, providing the young trainer with her second success in the training ranks (first winner came at Gowran last month).

Sent off a 10/1 chance, the victorious son of Yeats was making his debut in handicap company.

Settled towards rear, he was briefly pushed along approaching five out, and soon made good progress into mid-division.

He was ridden in sixth after the third last, and came through to lead after the final flight, keeping on well from there to score by a length and a half. Duke Cass (9/2 to 7/2) finished second under Donagh Meyler for Karl Thornton, while the second reserve and 3/1 favourite, Garri Rua was a further head back in third under Rachael Blackmore for Garrett Power.

The winner, who was twice placed in point-to-point's, is owned by Paul Holden, father of the successful handler.
