Proper Madam continues Murphy's roll
John Murphy’s horses are in fine form at present and the Co Cork trainer registered his 11th winner of the season when his Proper Madam arrived late to win the Get Results With Blue Gradd Horse Feeds Nursery at Bellewstown today.
Lady Larisa looked sure to win inside the final furlong but Proper Madam, a daughter of Fasliyev and ridden by Danny Grant, arrived late and fast to get her head in front for a half length win.
Murphy was not present for the win but Grant did mention “Proper Madam wasn’t able to go the early pace but did it nicely in the end.”
When contacted by phone John Murphy said: "I am going to go for another nursery for her in three weeks. The plan was always to hold her up. Danny Grant was very clever on her."
