Theory Of Music got a strong drive from Tom Madden to open her account in the fillies maiden at Limerick tonight.
The Jessica Harrington-trained filly was the first off the bridle, half a mile from home, in the one-mile-three contest but stuck to her task well down the straight.
Madden drove his mount into a narrow led passing the furlong pole and the daughter of Fastnet Rock stayed on well in the closing stages to score by a length-and-a-half from Glinting
The 16/5 winner had been a close fourth behind Call Me Sweetheart at the Curragh on her previous outing.
Madden said:- "She is lazy and only goes through the motions but is a great spin, is very well bred and is from a good Jim Bolger family.
"Going forward she'll be a nice filly and I think she'll get further as well. She is still learning plenty but I'd say she'll find for you again next year." Rosscarbery the eventual third, found herself caught on the inner down the straight as Glinting rolled in towards the rail.
The stewards had a look after the race with the result unaffected.
