Oxx and Kinane continue on winning streak
There was more success for the Currabeg yard of John Oxx today as Irish 2000 Guineas runner up Rayeni battled gamely to land the Listed Go Racing In Kildare Festival Waterford Testimonial Stakes.
Dropping back to six-furlongs, the colt by Indian Ridge had to dig deep to see off the efforts of Luisant and will now head to Leopardstown for the final day of the turf season.
"Bringing him back to six-furlongs was bringing him to his minimum distance but he stuck his head out and finished well," said Oxx afterwards.
"He will go for the Knockaire Stakes at Leopardstown on November 1st and the seven furlongs will suit him better."
