The first division of the Mongey Communications Maiden Hurdle went to the 4/6 favourite Bodhisattva under Robert Power.
Third at Punchestown last month, the scopey son of Leading Light tracked market rival Haribo Collonges until taking over in front three out. The latter dropped away tamely but Attaboyarchie soon moved up travelling well and joined the favourite over the second-last. A mistake at the last put paid to the Attaboyarchie's chance, though, as the winner went away on the run-in to score by two and a quarter lengths.
Winning trainer Gordon Elliott said: “He's a big galloping horse. It probably wasn't the strongest race but it's grand he won.
“He jumped well and will make a three-mile chaser some day.
“Puppy said the ground was horrible and it's nice to get a winner on that ground.”
