O'Faolains Glory (6/1) was another to make all the running at Down Royal as she landed the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle under Carl Millar.

The Fame And Glory mare, owned by the Glory Hunters Syndicate, sported first-time cheekpieces and was chased throughout by the 7/2 favourite Jacenry A mistake at the last ended that one's chance and he ended up six lengths adrift at the line.

Winning trainer Ian Donoghue said: "She did it very well, she was nearly one you were afraid was too good a work horse. You'd be afraid she won't put it in.

"Carl gave her a great ride - he's a great man for the likes of them as he doesn't interfere, builds them up, and they keep galloping.

"She's slick (jumper), she has schooled over fences. She was in Wexford for a chase the last day we were up here. That's the fourth time lucky for her as the last three times she was due to run it was called off.

"For a small filly, she handles that ground. I walked the track earlier with Keith (Donoghue) and the hurdle track is slow compared to the chase track.

"Hopefully, she will progress and is a good, fun filly. There's a good bunch of lads and they are a new syndicate. They will have craic with her for the summer."
