Pulsating (9/1) got in as first reserve for the Abbey Road Handicap (Div II) and the hardy six-year-old mare by Dragon Pulse came out on top in a tight finish.

Tom Madden drove her out to a half length win from No Way Jack (9/1) with Colin Keane’s bid for a four-timer just coming up short on Treble Cone (7/2) back in third. The 9/4 favourite Clifftop finished sixth.

The winner has had a host of different trainers throughout her career, and this ninth career victory was a third for her current in-form handler Conor O’Dwyer.

It was a first win on Turf for Pulsating who was runner-up twice at Fairyhouse in mid-summer.

Winning rider Tom Madden said: "She's a very tough filly. Conor (O'Dwyer) does a great job with her and it's nice to get her back.

“She had a couple of good runs when she finished second. She doesn't want extremes of ground and loved the ground and trip today.

“She travels very well, and likes to travel away. She's a nice filly going forward and they'll knock a bit of sport out of her.”
