1,000 Guineas entry Joan Of Arc made a winning return to action at the Curragh to get Aidan O'Brien off the mark for the season.

The Galileo filly is a full-sister to classic winners Gleneagles and Marvellous and went to post a 4/6 shot, in the seven-furlong fillies maiden, having been narrowly denied on her debut at Dundalk last November.

Ryan Moore soon tracked the leader on the hotpot before sending her to the front two furlongs from home.

She galloped on resolutely in the closing stages to post a length-and-a-quarter success over 80/1 newcomer Approach The Dawn

“You'd be delighted with her. Ryan said she'd be happier on nicer ground and won't mind going up to a mile either,” said O'Brien.

“We might have a look at the Guineas trial at Leopardstown for her.

“It's tough going out there first time. He said he was very comfortable on her.”
