Much-travelled Kieren Fallon briefly looked likely to ride his first Irish winner since 2011 in the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Handicap at Leopardstown this evening but in the end had to settle for second place behind Jeremy's Joy, which powered clear in the closing stages.
Fallon's mount Maknificent moved into contention with a furlong to race but no sooner had the pair moved to dispute the lead than Jeremy's Joy arrived with her jet-propelled finish.
In the end Jeremy's Joy, at odds of 25/1 under jockey Gary Carroll, scooted clear for an 11 lengths win.
Winning trainer Emmet Butterly later commented "I only have her about a month, and that's a bit of a surprise. She's highly strung at home and we've been trying to keep the revs down on her.
"Those Jeremy's love the ground, and she will jump a hurdle as well."
