10/11 favourite Felix Desjy had things all his own way in the concluding Bettystown (Q.R) Maiden as he established a clear lead from an early stage and cruised home by eight lengths in the hands of Jamie Codd.
Gordon Elliott 's 7-y-o, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles as a novice at Aintree in April 2019, had been off the track since chasing home Klassical Dream At Punchestown later that month.
Always a free-going sort, Codd let him stride along and he had built up an unassailable lead well before the final straight. Advantage Point and Rasiym filled the placings, with second favourite Thosedaysaregone never landing a blow in fifth.
Winning rider Jamie Codd said: "He was the class horse in the race and he did it accordingly. He had a nice blow as well.
“Hopefully he'll go to Galway in a few weeks time. I think that's on the cards but we'll see what Gordon wants to do.
“He'll improve plenty from today and it's great to see him back. He's a class horse and a proper Grade 1 horse over jumps.”
