Natural Look appreciated the step up to 2m4f as Declan Queally’s mare eventually proved a decisive winner of an incident packed Paulstown Handicap Hurdle at Gowran Park.
Runner-up over two miles at Tramore last time, the 3/1 shot headed fellow joint favourite Wa Wa approaching the final flight. That rival lost any chance with a mistake at the last while Ventnor who was also close up fell and brought down two other rivals.
Natural Look took full advantage of all the drama behind and stayed on strongly on the run-in under Declan Queally to score by six lengths.
Wa Wa took the runner-up spot with Birsandthebees a further length away in third.
The loose horse Maggie Walsh who unseated rider at the first caused further drama with a number of horses hampered at various stages of the race.
Declan Queally junior said, “That was good, she deserved it. In Cork she nearly got brought down at the third last and then we bumped into Tony Mullins' horse in Tramore.
“Then I saw Dermot McLoughlin's horse today and I said not again! We could have waited for Galway on Tuesday but we said we'd take a chance as he was a chaser.
“The race worked out grand and I kept clear of the loose horse. I'm delighted she got her day.”
