"He's obviously a different horse on that ground," said Ronan Whelan after Muzbid slammed the opposition in the Gowran Park Claiming Race.
Runner-up The Lords Walk couldn't live with Patrick Prendergast's winner from over a furlong out. Whelan's mount crossed the line four and a quarter lengths to the good.
Prendergast said on the victorious 9/4 favourite: "We were a bit worried about the ground because he's a horse with a bit of history but Ronan said he moved very well. He was so well in and I'd imagine I'm going to lose him now but I'm happy to get a win under his belt."
For 9,000 Euros Muzbid (the subject of 15 claims) was claimed and he'll be trained by Rodger Sweeney.
For 7,000 Euros Unite The Clans was claimed and he'll be trained by Keith Dalgleish. Elusive In Paris (8th home) was unfortunately injured here.
G.P. Halpin, rider of Elusive In Paris trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount finished sore.
