A thirty-seven race maiden on the Flat, Multiviz (33/1) got off the mark on only her fifth start over flights when landing the Frank Gillane Handicap Hurdle for Errill, Co.Laois trainer Shane Duffy and jockey Tommy Brett.
The six-year-old mare by Multiplex, having her first start since April, made good headway wide on the track to lead after the second last hurdle.
From that point she ran on to beat Tagg’s Island (8/1) and Love The Well (10/1) by two and three quarter lengths and half a length.
The 11/4 favourite Our Roxanne finished back in fourth spot.
The winning trainer is enjoying a good run and was having his second winner of the August Festival following Molly Kaye’s success on Saturday evening.
Shane Duffy said afterwards: "The horses are in good form, we've a small yard, only eight horses riding out. They all look a picture, are winning best turned-outs, and are running well.
"We'd love to take on more horses but it's so tough in Ireland.
"We gave this mare a break, completely stopped everything with her and brought he right back to the start and cleared her head. She was getting a little fed up of racing but is a new mare today, so it's great.
"She'll tip away in this grade now and hopefully make the best of it."
