Mullins wins aboard Cuchulains Son

The Willie Mullins trained Cuchulains Son justified favouritism after he landed the Treacy's Pharmacy Hurdle in the hands of Patrick Mullins.

The 9/4 favourite showed great battling qualities when getting up in the closing stages to deny Sherchanceit and Andrew McNamara by a head.

Winning rider Mullins said afterwards: "The trip was probably a shade to short for him we'll probably step him up in trip now."

"He will probably go chasing sooner rather than later."
