Patrick Mullins is putting in the miles this week and after riding a winner in Ffos Las yesterday repeated the feat aboard his father's newcomer Not Negotiable in the mares' bumper at Tipperary.

This Kapgarde mare was a very warm order to oblige as she was backed down to 2/7f and she did win in very good style despite a couple of hairy moments for Mullins.

She assumed an early lead, but shied right away from the road crossing and ended up along the rail. Mullins sat tight and soon had her prominent alongside Mountrivers Lass

It was a similar story on the second circuit as she had another good look at the road crossing, but didn't lose much ground.

She travelled into the lead with less than half a mile to negotiate and Mullins Jnr didn't need to get serious with her as she cruised home in the final furlong, on the bridle, by an easy four and a-quarter lengths. Nothing Hectic (8/1) and Shannon Bank (13/2) came in second and third respectively.

Jockey Mullins said: "She was quite green and had a good look at the road where I nearly came off her twice.

"She is a big mare with a big engine and I'd be thinking soft ground, at a trip, over fences is where she'd really be at her best.

"We came here for the 2m4f and the ground had dried out a lot, but I think she is a proper winter mare. I'd be very excited with her and she is homebred by Nicola (Fitzgerald) who owns her.

"I'd be very surprised if she didn't end up being a black-type mare."
