Mortar clicks again
Clicksnmortar bounced back to his best with a powerful display of front-running in the Thomastown Hurdle under Andrew McNamara, surviving a near slip-up on the turn into the straight.
Edward O’Grady's chestnut son of Presenting was always holding the pursuing pair of Moscow Breeze and Alpine Glade in the straight, prevailing in the end from the former by a comfortable four lengths.
O'Grady commented: "He's a lovely horse. He'll go for another hurdle next and then chasing. Good ground is important to him. He's only a five-year-old so hopefully he'll make a nice chaser in time."
Mythical Prince was withdrawn from this contest due to the change in ground conditions.
