Morga fairly bounded away from her rivals in the mile and a half fillies' handicap that concluded the card at the Curragh.

The 16/1 shot improved from rear to sixth a furlong and a half from home and was absolutely tanking along for Ronan Whelan who was looking for a gap.

The split came in the final 200 yards and she scooted through and quickly put the race to bed and she opened up to win by three and three quarter lengths. Ceol Na Nog (13/2) came in second with Sister Blandina (7/1) half a length back in third.

Trainer Des McDonogh said: “I had to fancy her as in Galway she gave 12lb to Heartbreak City [who won yesterday's Ebor] and was only beaten two lengths.

“She ran a great race in Galway as she was giving weight away to the first three.

“She loved that ground and got a lovely ride. She found plenty.

“She'll probably go back over hurdles but it's hard to find one for her. The way she ran there she could go two-and-a-half miles over hurdles.

“She could maybe go over a fence as well. Mark Walsh said she would love fences the way she jumps the easyfix hurdles.”
