Title-chasing Jack Kennedy took full advantage of an outside ride on Morepowertoya in the Junction Handicap Hurdle at Tipperary.

Kennedy raced the six-year-old gelding in second approaching the home bend as the duo set their sights on So Easy Way and Daniel King.

Morepowertoya travelled well in the first-time cheekpieces to pick off the leader two out. He was ridden to assert before the last and galloped home strongly by five lengths at 13/2 from as big as 20/1 this morning. Tingarran Express the 5/2 favourite, could make no impression on the winner, but did come home a clear second from So Easy Way (100/1) and Toon Town (10/1).

Paul Power said: "My brother Conor runs the syndicate and was keen to get Jack to ride and he is three-from-three for me now.

"He had an injury and we were happy enough with his first run back where he ran to the line at Naas. We thought - with the drying ground today - that he'd have a little squeak as he is a quick, little horse.

"My brother, a few local lads and a lad in Australia own him and he'll be kept going for the summer."

Kennedy sported the colours of the Going Global Syndicate.

He now leads Paul Townend by six winners in the jockeys' title race (121-115).
