Ann and Alan Potts, Henry de Bromhead, and Jonathan Burke, were at it again after their Galway Plate win yesterday with Shanahan's Turn, as Sizing Platinum turned over odds-on favourite Rock The World in the Guinness Harp Novice Chase.
The victorious Definite Article gelding is now two from two at this game, after his win at Limerick on July 5th, and he didn't go un-backed at 3/1, in opposition to 9/10 chance Rock The World.
Sizing Platinum was always up there forcing it with Shesaportrait and up the straight he saw off the aforementioned hot-pot by three and three parts of a length.
"It was a super ride again from Johnny. He was very positive - the way he jumped the two in the dip - he's a young man's ride. Johnny just went. A drop to two miles will suit the horse (2m 2f here)" said de Bromhead.
"I'm delighted to get it for Alan and Ann again."
It's been a very productive Galway for de Bromhead as his Beckwith Star also won on the opening night in the hands of Adam O'Neill.
M.A. Enright, rider of Shesaportrait trained by Patrick Neville, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
