Misty Millie recorded her second successive win over flights, as she took the Eventsec Handicap Hurdle.
The Garvan Donnelly trained five-year-old was successful at Fairyhouse last month, before disappointing on the level on her most recent outing at Tipperary
Sent off at 14/1 this evening, she made good progress on the outer from the second last, and was ridden to the front on the run-in, going on to score by two and three parts of a length under Danny Hand. Derby De Thaix (10s to 8s on-course) finished second with Evan Daly aboard for Joseph O'Brien, while Konig Hall (10/1) was another two and a quarter lengths back in third. Ejayteekay was sent off the 7/2 favourite, and she finished a disappointing eleventh.
Donnelly, who trains the winner for Michael Frances O'Neill, said afterwards: "She did (come home very well). She has been running on winter, heavy ground and they have done a lovely job here with the ground. She wouldn't handle any quicker than that.
"Obviously she has won on the flat so she is able to travel into a race. Danny (Hand) gave her a lovely ride there. He knows her well and schooled her a lot at home. It was nice for him to sit and bide his time and she has done it well in the end.
"I think she is best coming (on the outside) and beating tired horses. She was a very good flat horse rated in the 90s so she has that bit of speed and she does stay well.
"I did think she was in very good form. She ran on the flat 10 days ago and she just didn't stay a mile and a half on the flat. Colin (Keane) was very happy with her there that day and said back to a mile and two and she'd be back winning.
"I'm hoping that she'll be aimed at Galway."
