McDonald on the mark
New Zealand champion apprentice James McDonald recorded his first career win in Ireland when Cabin Point landed the Four Mile House Handicap.
The nineteen year old came to Ireland to ride out for David Wachman and he intends to return to his native New Zealand after the Irish Derby.
McDonald came with a well timed run to lead on the run-in and deny Strandfield Lady by a length.
