Mark Twain wins opener at Cork
The opening race this afternoon at Cork, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden, was won by the Aidan O’Brien trained Mark Twain under Colm O’Donoghue.
Winning trainer O’Brien stated: “That was good and Colm gave him a great ride. He’s progressing all of the time. His last three runs have been quite good.”
“He’s been taking his time to get his act together. He’s still a bit weak and I think he’ll be a much better horse next year.”
“As regard plans we don’t have any as he could quite possibly be sold.”
