Ultra Light who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winning stable mate Rubi Light, recorded her third career success in the Mobile Handicap Hurdle, scoring comfortably under Andrew Lynch for Robbie Hennessy.

The six-year-old daughter of Brier Creek finally got off the mark on her twenty second career start at Bangor in July and she followed up at Perth in September.

She disappointed at Tipperary on her last outing and she was sent off at 5/1 this afternoon.

Settled towards rear she made some progress into mid-division after the fifth last, and improved into second before three out.

She hit the front well before the second last and soon kicked on, keeping on well under pressure on the run-in to score by five and a half lengths. Varene De Vauzelle ran well to finish second at 11/1 (from 14’s) under Adrian Heskin for Michael Hourigan while Flying Bella was a further five lengths back in third under Adam O’Neill for Eoin Doyle at 11/2. Trainspotting and Mississippilanding were sent off the 9/2 joint-favourites but they both disappointed, the former finishing sixth while the latter was pulled up.

Robbie Hennessy said afterwards: "She has been tipping away in Perth and Bangor. She ran badly in Tipperary and we were going to leave her as she's been busy.

"I threw her into a field, but when I saw this race I brought her back in. The plan was to run and put her away, but she might run in Thurles on Thursday and she will go to the sales in December."
