The Irish EBF Median Sires Series Race went to the 5/2 favourite Luxembourg who impressed on debut.
The Camelot cot, a three-parts brother to Group 2 winner Leo De Fury, was a little slowly away under Michael Hussey and was settled towards the rear.
Switched out in the straight, the winner made good progress to challenge a quarter of a mile out and took over from Tuwaiq (10/3) entering the final furlong.
He went away to win readily by two and a quarter lengths and Aidan O’Brien’s National Stakes entry looks to have a bright future.
Hussey, who won last month’s Ulster Derby for Ballydoyle on Iowa, said of the winner: "He is a grand big horse, was green early and the penny didn't drop until I got by Colin (Keane, on Tuwaiq) and he was still having a look. He was watching everything and there's plenty improvement in him.
"It's great to get them away and the job is done. He is exciting and will get further eventually."
