"He finally got his head in front," said Jim Bolger's travelling man Ger Flynn after Cresendo got the job done as the 5/2 market-leader in the first division of the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
A three-year-old son of Vocalised, Cresendo had been second here the last twice, but this time upped to a mile he shed his maiden tag on outing number thirteen, beating Tennesse Waltz by a length and a half.
"Kevin (Manning, winning rider) said he should be winning that kind of race. He said he was a bit slowly away but got up into it turning into the straight coming round the outside. He said he won well in the end," further explained Flynn.
"It's nice to get it after three attempts up here."
