King Blue (20/1) found plenty for pressure under Katie Walsh up the straight to land the three mile one furlong OCR Waste Management Handicap Hurdle at Roscommon. Up For Discussion was right on the premises with every chance when taking a heavy tumble at the second last flight.
King Blue soon went into overdrive from that point and at the line the eleven-year-old son of King Charlemagne had no less than nine and a half lengths in hand over Na Trachtalai Abu
"That's brilliant as it's Katie's first runner as an owner. They must be lucky colours," said winning trainer Ross O'Sullivan, of course also the husband of the successful jockey.
"He's been unlucky all year as he's not had an ease. He's been flying home but that's the way he is. He has to arrive there easily and is a tricky horse.
"Soft ground is the key to him, and when he's passing horses he gets confidence."
