Division one of the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle at Limerick saw odds-on favourite Castle Town House (4/7) gain a fortunate success. Whiskeywealth left Castle Town House in his wake from the penultimate hurdle and had the race in the bag when falling at the last.
Castle Town House was hampered by Whiskeywealth but Barry Browne got Michael McDonagh’s charge going well enough again to beat Collo Meo by four lengths.
"He was due his turn but I didn't think he would get it going to the last and we were very lucky,” said Browne.
"He doesn't find a whole lot when he comes off the bridle but hopefully he can get better."
J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Courthill trained by Michael E Hallinan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount choked in running.
