Enduring Love survived a last fence blunder to claim the spoils in the concluding Caherlough Handicap Chase at Clonmel.
Denis O'Regan had to sit tight a couple of times on the Sam Curling-trained gelding, who also made a bad mistake at the sixth fences in the two-and-a-half mile contest.
He was disputing going out on the last circuit and had a narrow lead down to the second last fence as Mosstown Miller and Fox Watch came to press.
The 7/1 shot was just starting to assert when getting the last wrong but quickly recovered to go on and post a two-and-a-half length win over the staying on Quarry Girl
"he is owned by the Clearys who have the jockeys' valet business and a few friends, so I'm delighted as it's their first horse.
"In fairness to Philip Rothwell (previous trainer) he said he'd win when he got his ground and he did. You'd never know he might sneak another one of those races. He is a big strong horse who handles the ground well.
"He is in in Thurles next week and might go there if the ground is soft enough."
He added:- "I won a bumper with Shantreusse (today's feature race winner) here last year so I'm delighted he went on. He'll be a very good chaser."
