Letsbeclearaboutit went into many a proverbial notebook after a facile success in Punchestown's bumper.

Last month he won a Tipperary bumper by seven lengths and was even more impressive today.

Patrick Mullins had him in the lead from flagfall and the Flemensfirth gelding enjoyed himself out in front.

The other winner in the race, Dark Spark raced second with Enniskerry in touch in third.

Racing inside the final mile it was Enniskerry who ran second from Dark Spark as Letsbeclearaboutit lobbed away at the front.

At the four pole the leader had Enniskerry, Il Courra Dark Spark and Tom McGreevy stacked up in behind.

Letsbeclearaboutit then tanked along into the straight on the bridle as all the others began to exert their jockeys.

Mullins was motionless as his charge drew clear by the final furlong and pair cruised home from there to score easily by eight lengths.

Gavin Cromwell said of the 6/4 favourite: "He's a real nice horse, he's exciting.

“I don't know what route I'm going to take with him, we might go for the Listed bumper at Navan (December 19th).

“He's a five-year-old so the question is whether you go over hurdles with him or stay the bumper route. I'd say we might stay in bumpers and I won't run him too much.

“He loves that soft ground but he's not slow and better ground won't be a problem to him.”

Enniskerry finished second at 4/1 and was two and a quarter lengths in front of Dark Spark (3/1).

Paddy Power introduced Letsbeclearaboutit at 12/1 for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham.
