Law Girl stepped up on her debut fourth to outclass the opposition in the Athleague Mares Maiden Hurdle at Roscommon.
The 11/10 favourite, with Paul Townend in the plate for Willie Mullins, readily closed on front-running High School Days on the approach to the second last and picked her off jumping that flight.
She eased clear coming to the last and popped it to secure a victory by 11 lengths. The Birdie Crowe (10/3) moved into second from a tiring High School Days (9/4) at the last but could make no impression on the easy winner.
Paul Townend said: "She improved plenty from the last time, experience wise and everything, and she did it well today.
“We were disappointed with her in Listowel and hopefully she can build on this again.”
Prior to this, the four-year-old Lawman filly had finished fourth in a mares' maiden hurdle at Listowel last month.
She had plenty of form on the Flat in France before adopting the Ricci colours.
This was the fifth winner Willie Mullins has sent out from his last 10 runners.
