Katie & Nodouraboura see it out best
Nodouraboura a gambled-on winner of a bumper at Roscommon in May, put his hurdling experience to good use by landing the JMR Tiles Maiden Hurdle at Cork.
Katie Walsh, partnering the son of City Honours for the third time in a row, got the 7/2 shot home by two and a half lengths from Road Train Bob Gambled-on favourite, Millrock Lady (4s into 5/2) finished the same distance back in third.
Three of Nodouraboura's previous four runs were over flights and Dermot Cox's five-year-old is a half-brother to Merdeka (a Grade 2 winner before ultimately disappointing). Conor O'Dwyer who trains the gelding, wasn't present.
