Rattling Jewel defied a stone hike for his victory at the course last time when getting home in a tight finish to the TRM Supporting Global Champions Handicap at the Currragh.
Nicole McKenna 's charge was soon prominent in a strongly run five furlong contest and the 7/2 joint favourite was in the lead passing the two pole. Enter The Red threw down a strong challenge inside the final furlong but Rattling Jewel responded well for Wayne Lordan and held that rival at bay by a diminishing short-head at the line.
“He just got there by the look of it. He seems to love it here. He's a nice one to have and the boys are getting plenty of craic out of him,” said McKenna.
“We'll maybe come back for the Rockingham, he would be entitled to take his chance in it.
“He was punished a bit for the last day, and he was a bit hard on him, but he has come out and done it again so it hasn't fazed him too much.
“The ground is key to him. He'd go on good or good to soft but I wouldn't want it too firm for him.
“He loves straight tracks and this isn't a bad place to love!”
