The Gavin Cromwell-trained Howyoulikethat edged the verdict in a tight finish to the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap at Dundalk.

Settled mid-division in the mile contest by Gary Carroll the Requinto gelding was produced to challenge between horses a furlong out.

The 11/1 shot stuck his head out close home to secure a half length win over Koybig There was a head to Boasty in third with St George's Head just a nose back in fourth.

Howyoulikethat was making his handicap debut. He had been fourth on his second outing in maiden company over six furlongs at the track and was trying a mile again tonight having made his debut over the trip.

Carroll said afterwards:- “His maiden runs were good and he was quite green. It took a while for the penny to drop.

“The race worked out today and the step up in trip probably helped. He’s a nice fun horse going forward and hopefully will win a couple more.”
