Adrian Heskin was at the double in Clonmel as he booted home Survival in the seventh race, hot on the heels of Dushybeag in the sixth.
There was a gamble on the winner at the track as he was backed from an opening show of 20/1 down to an SP of 12/1.
Survival grabbed hold of the lead before the second last and forged on towards the winning post. Pat Garrett though came through under Paul Carberry to chase the winner down. He got to within three parts of a length at the line, but that was as close as he ever was. The runner-up was 7/1. Old Supporter at 20s was four and a half lengths adrift in third.
Norman Lee who is from Tubber, Co Clare, but who trains in Gort, Co Galway said: "He was my first ever point-to-point winner and he is now my second track winner [had first track winner on April 22nd when Supreme Vic won at Ballinrobe]. He has been a great servant.
“Adrian gave him a great ride and he was very positive on him. He will go for something similar now and hopefully he will progress up the ladder and we can bring him to Galway.
“My cousin Mike Burke owns him but he couldn't be here tonight as he has a party booked in at his restaurant in Kinvara.”
