The colours of the Barrow Vale Syndicate are more familiar in the jumping arena but it looks like that grouping have unearthed a good one for competition on the level as Harry's Princess impressed when making a winning debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Dundalk.
She may have gone through the sales ring twice unsold for small money but Harry's Princess is clearly smart. Declan McDonogh's mount got the better of the favourite Peony Fairy from over a furlong out, stretching on to score from that one by four and a half lengths.
McDonogh reported of the John Oxx-trained daughter of Strategic Prince: "She had been working well and I liked her. The last couple of weeks her work was pretty good and I was fairly confident coming here.
"She had a nice draw and got a nice lead."
S. Foley, rider of Iontas trained by M.Halford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount received accidental interference in the straight and checked.
C.R. King, rider of Komitoe trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount accidentally clipped a heel and stumbled twice rounding the bottom bend.
N.G. McCullagh, rider of Wishyouwerehere trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly to the left in the straight.
