After an easy win aboard Ivasecret in the previous contest, Seamie Heffernan quickly doubled-up on Roman Harry in the Pride Of Place Maiden.

Previously trained by Ger Lyons and James McAuley and now in the care of Claire O'Connell, the 53-rated four-year-old was placed at Gowran in July, disappointing most recently on soft to heavy at Roscommon.

Sent off a 12/1 chance this evening, the Harry Angel bay was settled in mid-division, making progress when brought to the outer with over two-furlongs to go.

Soon ridden, he edged to the front inside the final 200 yards, keeping on well from there to prevail by three quarters of a length.

Returned the 10/11 favourite, Jeaniemacaroney had no excuses in second and while in front from the three-furlong pole, she ultimately couldn't hold off the winner, finishing just a short head in front of Lohengrin (4/1) in third.

"We have had him here to the beach a few times," O'Connell revealed.

"He has just been a very unlucky horse, he gets claustrophobic.

"He ran well in Gowran and things didn't go right for him in Roscommon. I'm so delighted.

"The fact there was only 10 runners, he had a bit of space. We were hoping to get a bit more space.

"Seamie has been a great help to me telling me where to go with him. He's very good to small trainers like myself, he gives ample advice and he gives you confidence."
