After their success with Jetz in the 1.25, Jessica Harrington and Robbie Power doubled their score when Magic Of Light justified odds-on favouritism in the Fairyhouse Membership 2018 Beginners Chase.
The victorious daughter of Flemensfirth did everything right from the front on her second star over the larger obstacles.
In the end the Ann & Alan Potts Limited owned 4/5 shot had six lengths in hand over Tinos Tank
"The further she goes in trip the better she'll be," said Power.
"Softer ground as well will suit her. She jumps real well, she loves her fences and attacked them.
"I wasn't going to ride her for toe anyway so we jumped out and made plenty of use of her stamina.
"Two-five on the inside track is as short as she wants so we wanted to try and stretch the rest of them and make use of her jumping.
"We're trying to avoid Gordon's mare (Shattered Love) wherever we go but when she gets very soft ground you'll see a better mare."
Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for fence number 5 to be omitted from both circuits of this race.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Political Theatre trained by A.L.T.Moore, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
D.N. Russell, rider of Political Theatre trained by A.L.T.Moore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was disappointing.
Michael G. Kennedy, trainer of Cloudy Morning reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge scoped wrong post race.
