Gotthenod (9/1) got a good ride from amateur Tom Harney to win the mares' handicap hurdle for local owner Tommy Ward.
Three times a winner for Dot Love and now in the care of Ross O'Sullivan, the daughter of Famous Name sat second and 7lb claimer Harney gave her the office on the approach to the last.
She kept on well to score decisively from outsider Glory For Molly favourite Junior Bee and the pace-setting Optional Mix with the winning margins being four and three quarter lengths times three.
Ross O'Sullivan said: “She had course form but had lost her form a bit. She had six months off and ran well the last day which probably gave her a bit of confidence.
“It’s great for Tom (Harney) who has been with me the last five years. That’s his first winner over hurdles.
“He’s my headman as well as our amateur. He works hard, is the first one in every morning and deserves this. He’d ridden one winner on the track before and three point-to-point winners.
“Shane O’Callaghan rode him the last day but got suspended and we said we’d let Tom ride her.”
