Global Position opens account over hurdles
Des McDonogh’s charge Global Position opened up his account over hurdles after he came home in front of the Hilamar Hotel Kinnegad Handicap Hurdle with Denis Hogan doing the steering for owner Willie Donohue.
Winning trainer McDonogh said afterwards: “That was super he had some good form early on and it just took him awhile to get it right. He was second to a good mare of Willie Mullins at Thurles last year but he lost the plot then."
“He’s a very well bred horse, we bought him from Jim Bolger. He should make a great chaser in time. We will creep up now and try and find something similar.”
“Willie Donohue owns the horse, he is from Galway and that’s his first horse and first winner, so I’m delighted for him.”
