Geraghty at his best
Beau Michael followed up on his recent win at Galway when taking the FBD Hurdle under a fine ride by Barry Geraghty.
Geraghty who made all aboard Adrian McGuinness’ charge quickened clear after three out but had to work hard to hold off the gaining Tilabay from before the last.
The pair benefited from Tilabay’s mistake at the last and kept on well to score by a length and three parts.
A delighted McGuinness said afterwards: “The conditions of the race really suited him and that’s why we came here.”
“He had a hard race at Galway but he ate up well after it and has been in great form at home. He has now won a Flat Race, Hurdle and Chase in three weeks.”
“We’ll head for a two mile and one furlong Chase at Galway at the end of the month. The long term plan would be to try win a Graded Chase before the Winter ground gets too heavy.”
